  • Kokkino is the Greek word meaning red. I chose it as I wanted a vibrant name for my business to reflect the colourful nature of my work.

  • Most of my collections are made from sterling silver and vitreous enamel although I also work in gold and use precious and semi-precious gemstones. I always choose recycled precious metals where possible and only responsibly sourced stones.

    It is also possible to use the metal and gems in your unworn jewellery to create new pieces.

  • Enamel is a very fine layer of glass which is fused onto the surface of the silver in a kiln heated to around 1000 degrees celcius. I have a full blog post on the process here.

  • Yes, I only use sterling silver or sometimes fine silver.
